Reconciliation of a Penitent (Confession)
The Ministry of Reconciliation in the Episcopal Church is exercised through the care each Christian has for others, through the common prayer of Christians assembled for public worship and through the Sacrament of Reconciliation of a Penitent (often called Confession and Penance in other Christian traditions). The Sacrament can be scheduled at any time with a priest and is strictly a voluntary request on the part of a penitent.
